Man Reportedly Arrested For Criticizing Tinubu’s Aide

A man named Alkaseem Nuhu Abdulkadir was arrested yesterday at his home by unidentified officials and taken to Abuja.

The reason for his arrest appears to be his public criticism of an aide to President Bola Tinubu.

Abdulkadir had written two open letters to the President, where he raised serious concerns about the performance of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Community Engagement for the Northeast region, Abdul Jazzy.

In the first letter, Abdulkadir requested the immediate removal of the SSA.

He argued that the SSA lacked the necessary expertise, experience, and knowledge to effectively lead the region.

He emphasized that the Northeast is the poorest region in Nigeria and needs a capable leader who understands its unique challenges.

According to Abdulkadir, the current SSA has failed to demonstrate the ability to drive progress in the region.

The second letter was even more direct.

Abdulkadir accused the SSA, Abdul Don Jazzy, of gross neglect of his duties.

He claimed that the aide had consistently ignored the dire needs of the people in the Northeast, failing to provide essential services and support.

Abdulkadir alleged that instead of focusing on the welfare of the people, the SSA had been prioritizing his personal interests.

He urged the President and other stakeholders to take immediate action to hold the SSA accountable, stressing that the people of the Northeast deserved better leadership.
