Police arrest four suspects over Ogun cult killings

Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder of a barber by suspected cultists in Isale Oja Kuto, Abeokuta, the State Police Chief, Abiodun Alamutu, has revealed.

This comes after a different attack on Friday night by a rival cult, which resulted in the death of Fatai Kehinde, a 48-year-old POS operator, beneath the Kuto bridge in Abeokuta.

The son of the Baale of Kuto Community, Abeokuta, the POS operator Faity, was reportedly butchered by his attackers after they pursued him from his store inside the Kuto market to under the Kuto bridge.

It was reported that he was laid to rest on Saturday.

The Commissioner of Police stated, “We have successfully arrested four people in connection with the barber’s killing by some suspected cultists a few days ago,” in a phone conversation with The Punch on Sunday.

“We are also on the trail of others, and this is just to say that there is no hiding place for criminals in the state. We will apprehend everyone involved in the killings and make them answer for their misdeeds.”
