Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu recently held a meeting with his predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Sanwo-Olu shared on his X page that their discussion focused on the future of Lagos and how to build upon the existing foundation.
He expressed appreciation for Ambode’s insights as they work together to promote the city’s growth and development.
Ambode, who served as governor from 2015 to 2019, lost his reelection bid to Sanwo-Olu.
The two had previously experienced a fallout during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections but reconciled in 2023 during a reception for President Bola Tinubu at Lagos House in Marina.
This meeting marked their first public gathering with another former Lagos governor, Babatunde Fashola, in over four years.
