The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has informed residents of Lokoja and surrounding areas in Kogi State of a planned power outage Today.
Ndidi Mbah, TCN’s General Manager of Public Affairs, issued a statement on Wednesday explaining that the outage is necessary to conduct maintenance on 60 megavolt-amperes transformers and switchgear at the Lokoja 330/132/33-kilovolt Transmission Substation.
According to TCN, the blackout will occur between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday.
“As a result, Abuja DisCo will be unable to supply electricity to customers in Lokoja town, CBN, Koton Karfe, and surrounding areas during this period,” the statement noted.
TCN assured that power supply would be restored immediately after the maintenance work is completed.
