Osun State to redeploy Long-Serving Teachers Amidst Cabal Concerns

The Osun State Government has announced that public school teachers who have been in their current positions for over five years will be reassigned to different schools.

This decision, revealed through a circular from the Osun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), aims to tackle issues arising from the formation of influential groups among long-serving teachers.

The circular, issued by TESCOM Chairman Mr. Tope Mustapha, indicates that these groups have disrupted administrative processes and impeded school development.

As a solution, the government plans to relocate these teachers before the next academic session begins on September 16, 2024.

The policy is designed to align with global educational practices, which advocate for regular teacher rotation to foster growth and prevent stagnation in schools.

Mustapha has advised the teachers to prepare for the upcoming changes, which are intended to enhance the educational system by creating a more dynamic and inclusive environment.
