A two-storey residential building on Oko Baba Street in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, has been severely damaged by a fire.
The blaze, which began around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday in an apartment on the upper floor, destroyed valuable property worth millions of naira.
By 2 p.m., the exact cause of the fire had not been identified.
The affected apartments included a two-bedroom flat, a room and parlor self-contained unit, and a single room.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities.
The fire was brought under control by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, federal firefighters, and the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA).
