Tragedy as Man Died Inside Abuja Mosque After Morning Prayer
Residents of Paso community in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were thrown into shock on Tuesday morning after a 32-year-old man, identified as Rayyanu, was found dead inside a mosque.
According to Ibrahim Musa, a resident of the area, the deceased had arrived at the mosque on a motorcycle to observe the early morning Subhi prayer. After completing his prayers, he decided to take a nap but never woke up.
“It was around 7:28 a.m. when some mosque cleaners found him lying motionless. They tried to wake him up so they could clean the mosque, but he was unresponsive,” Musa said.
Alarmed by the situation, the cleaners alerted some Muslim elders in the area, who quickly rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, doctors confirmed him dead on arrival.
The deceased was later identified, and his body was handed over to his family for burial.
