Benue Killings: Tinubu visits injured victims at Teaching Hospital
President Bola Tinubu has visited surviving victims of last Friday’s brutal attack in Yelwata community, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
Tinubu’s visit to the North-Central State came in response to the recent attack that claimed over 59 lives and left many others injured.
Immediately after his arrival at the Tactical Air Command, Nigerian Air Force Base, Makurdi, at about 12:58 pm today, the President went straight to the hospital to visit the victims of the assault
He later proceeded from the hospital to the new Banquet Hall of the State Government House where he was set to meet with key stakeholders to address the bloodshed and find a lasting solution to the crisis affecting Benue’s rural communities
During the visit, the President is also expected to meet with families of victims, displaced and injured persons, as well as community leaders who were directly impacted by the violence.
Expected attendees included Governor Hyacinth Alia, Governors from North-Central states, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, service chiefs, National Assembly members, APC leaders, and community representatives of the affected areas
