NDLEA Seizes N200 Million Worth of Cannabis in Lagos, Arrests Suspect

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have apprehended a suspected drug trafficker, Emam Ajetbogho, in Lagos, for allegedly importing 414.2 kilograms of Cannabis Sativa worth over N200 million.

The arrest was made on June 25, 2025, following a coordinated intelligence operation. The suspect, believed to be a native of Warri, Delta State, was said to have previously evaded multiple arrest attempts.

According to the Agency’s officials, the illicit substances were cleverly concealed in black and white nylon satchets within large bags. Attempts by political figures to secure Ajetbogho’s release were reportedly thwarted by the command.

Casey Wealth, President of a civic watchdog group, praised the NDLEA’s firm stance, pledging to monitor the case’s progress to ensure justice is served.

This development highlights the agency’s commitment to combating drug trafficking, even in the face of potential interference.
