Man in police net for killing father in Adamawa
A man identified as Idi Buba has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his biological father, Buba Jelli, to death following a violent altercation in Fotta District, Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred on Monday, July 28, within the family compound after an unresolved dispute escalated into physical violence.
According to local sources, Idi attacked his father with a knife, inflicting severe wounds on his neck and back. The victim was immediately rushed to the Primary Health Care Centre in Fotta, but was confirmed dead while receiving treatment.
Security personnel who responded to the scene recovered a blood-stained knife believed to have been used in the attack.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the health facility’s morgue for autopsy as investigations into the motive behind the fatal assault continue.
Police authorities in the area have yet to issue an official statement as of the time of filing this report, but local residents expressed shock over the incident, describing it as a horrifying and deeply unsettling tragedy.
