WAEC releases May/June 2025 WASSCE results
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for the May/June session, involving over 1.9 million candidates from 23,000 schools nationwide.
According to WAEC’s Head of National Office, Dr. Amos Dangut, the process was successful despite some of the hitches witnessed during the conduct of the exams,
“Today, I am happy to announce to you that all the processes leading to the release of the results have been concluded,” Dangut stated.
However, he noted a concerning 33.8 percent drop in candidates’ overall performance compared to previous years, raising fresh concerns over learning outcomes.
In a statement shared via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, August 4, WAEC confirmed that candidates can now check their results online by visiting http://waecdirect.org.
Students are advised to have their result-checking PIN and examination number ready when accessing the portal.
