    HCSF RECEIVES IFE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL DELEGATION, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO NATIONAL UNITY

    The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mr. Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Federal Civil Service to partner with traditional institutions to promote national unity and development.

    Mr. Abel stated this on Monday while receiving a delegation from the Ife Traditional Council, representing His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on a courtesy visit in Abuja.

    The visit was to congratulate the HCSF on his recent appointment and convey the Ooni’s goodwill and best wishes

    In a statement signed by OHCSF’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs Eno Olotu,
    the HCSF expressed appreciation to His Imperial Majesty and the Council for the gesture.

    He acknowledged the historical and cultural significance of Ile-Ife as the cradle of Yoruba civilisation, and the important role of traditional institutions in preserving Nigeria’s cultural heritage and promoting cohesion.

    “Traditional institutions remain key stakeholders in Nigeria’s socio-cultural development. Their role in promoting peace, unity, cultural preservation and community development is enduring,” he said.

    Mr. Abel reaffirmed the Federal Civil Service’s commitment to constructive engagement with traditional institutions in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

    He noted that improving public service delivery and strengthening governance require sustained collaboration and collective responsibility.

    He also commended the Ooni for his fatherly, inclusive and visionary leadership, and his contributions to Nigeria’s interests both at home and in the diaspora.

    Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Her Regal Majesty, Olori Dr. Temitope Enitan Ogunwusi, conveyed the Ooni’s warm regards and appreciation for the reception.

    She described Mr. Abel as a purpose-driven and accomplished public servant, and urged officers of the Federal Civil Service to align with his vision.

    Olori Ogunwusi expressed confidence in the HCSF’s capacity to provide transformative leadership and further strengthen the Service in line with the aspirations of the present Administration.

    Other members of the delegation included the Onifegunwa of Ifegunwa, Oba Adedire Adewole Solomon, and the Yeye Bobajiro Oodua, Dr. Yeye Afolashade Shona-Aluko.
