“Peace” Activists Intervene to Stop Looting and Destruction of NCC Office in Kano

Hundreds of protesters wearing “peace” face caps have stormed the streets of Kano, chasing away looters and vandals who had been wreaking havoc on shops and commercial properties during Thursday’s #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.

The “peace” activists, donning green face caps, chanted slogans demanding freedom from government oppression and vowing to protect innocent people’s properties.

Earlier, the protests had spiraled out of control, with many buildings, including the newly built NCC office on State Road, being looted and set ablaze.

However, the timely intervention of the “peace” protesters helped to stem the tide of destruction and restore a measure of calm to the city.

One of the “peace” activists told journalists that they were determined to stop the looting and destruction of innocent people’s properties, and would do their best to maintain peace and order in the city.

The situation remains tense, but the intervention of the “peace” protesters has helped to prevent further escalation of the violence.
