The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 7,194 Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II), following the recommendation of Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM.
These promotions come after the officers successfully passed the Departmental Selection Board (DSB) examinations.
The newly promoted officers are expected to leverage their experience to meet modern policing standards and to execute their duties within the confines of the law.
IGP Egbetokun, in congratulating the officers, emphasized the Force’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of its personnel and ensuring that promotions are both timely and merit-based.
“The commitment of the Force under my leadership is to ensure that the welfare of our officers and men is continuously improved. We are dedicated to making sure that promotions are awarded based on merit and in a timely manner,” IGP Egbetokun stated.
The announcement was made by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, mnipr, mipra, fCAI, the Force Public Relations Officer, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
