President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged protesters and organizers of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest to suspend further demonstrations and engage in dialogue.
President Tinubu reaffirmed his dedication to democratic good governance, upholding constitutional rights, and safeguarding the lives and property of innocent citizens in his speech to Nigerians on Sunday, August 4.
In addition, the president justified his economic policies, which included doing away with fuel subsidies and doing away with various foreign exchange schemes, as actions that were required to undo years of economic mismanagement.
“I am focused fully on delivering good governance to the people,” President Tinubu assured, acknowledging that the buck stops at his table.
The president is speaking in the midst of ongoing demonstrations and demands for communication between the demonstrators and the government.
