The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has called on security agencies and the state governments of Anambra and Imo to take urgent action in locating two missing NYSC officials.
The officers, who were last in contact on Monday, July 29, 2024, went missing between Onitsha and Owerri while traveling to Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.
The missing individuals are Mr. Okun Christopher, the NYSC Akwa-Ibom State Coordinator, and his driver, Mr. Daniel Effiong Asibong.
They were traveling in a white official Hilux vehicle with the registration number 27D31FG.
The NYSC is also urging concerned citizens in both states to support the search efforts.
Those with any information regarding the officials’ whereabouts are advised to reach out to law enforcement agencies in Anambra and Imo, any of the 37 NYSC State Secretariats, Area Offices, or the National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, or the nearest police station for prompt assistance.
