The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called for an urgent meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) to be held on Saturday.
This is in response to the recent late-night breach of the headquarters, known as Labour House, by alleged operatives of the Department of State Services.
The heavily armed police officers and others in plain clothes invaded the NLC headquarters in Abuja around 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
They searched both the second and tenth floors, seizing materials, including books from a bookshop, alleging they were used to incite recent protests.
The NEC meeting, scheduled for 4 p.m., will be conducted virtually to discuss an appropriate response to the incident and other related issues.
Meanwhile the DSS has denied carrying out an invasion at the Labour House.
