The Allied Conservative Congress (ACC) has announced its intention to open its presidential ticket to all qualified and patriotic Nigerians from across the six geopolitical zones for the 2027 elections.
The party, led by its national chairman, Rev Olusegun Peters, said that the presidential candidate will be determined solely through the party’s primary elections, as there will be no zoning arrangement in place.
Rev Peters disclosed that the ACC is putting in efforts to strengthen its presence nationwide, positioning itself as the leading conservative political movement in Nigeria.
He underlined the party’s commitment to rebuilding public trust in government and steering the nation towards a path of progress and development.
The ACC also urged the current government to address the pressing needs of Nigerians by taking decisive actions to alleviate the economic hardships faced by the populace.
The party called for the appointment of capable individuals to manage critical national issues, stressing the importance of prioritizing the welfare and security of the people as mandated by the constitution.
He said:
“Nigerians are hungry and want the fruits of democracy to assuage their sufferings. ACC calls on President Bola Tinubu to urgently address the needs of the people, subsidise the cost of foodstuffs, provide palliatives and social amenities that will improve people’s standards of living and boost economic growth.
“To achieve this, the president should set aside political and ethnic sentiments and patronage, and appoint well experienced Nigerians to handle critical national issues that will revamp the economy, ensure political stability and public order”.
