Former U.S. President Barack Obama has unveiled his annual summer playlist, which includes tracks from Nigerian artists Tems and Rema, as well as South African singer Tyla.
Obama’s selections highlight Tems’ “Love Me Jeje,” Rema’s “Yayo,” and Tyla’s “Jump” featuring Gunna and Skillibeng as his favorite African songs this summer.
Topping the list is Nigerian-American country music artist Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
Sharing the playlist on X, Obama noted, “As summer comes to a close, I wanted to share some of the songs I’ve been enjoying. My playlist features a diverse mix, and I hope you discover something new.” The playlist includes a range of genres and artists from around the world.
