    Gunmen Kill Kogi Monarch

    Gunmen have reportedly killed Shagari Ebije’ego Job, the traditional chief (Onu) of Itama in Dekina Local Government Area, Kogi State.

    The attack occurred at his residence on Monday evening, where he was shot and killed.

    The perpetrators, who have yet to be identified, followed the chief to his home before launching their assault around 9 p.m.

    Residents observed a group of armed men driving into town and heading directly to the chief’s residence.

    Moments later, gunshots were heard, causing panic among the locals as they fled for safety.

    After the attackers left, the community discovered the tragic death of their traditional ruler.

    The incident has caused widespread fear, leading some residents to flee to nearby villages.

    As of the time of reporting, the Kogi State Police Command had not provided any official comment on the matter.
