    NIGCOMSAT Offers Lifeline to Telecoms Amid Network Crisis

    NIGCOMSAT, the Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd, has expressed sympathy towards telecom operators struggling with poor network services and offered to leverage its solutions and services to improve their offerings.

     

    The satellite company is taking proactive steps to support telcos, including providing access to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and enabling payment in local currency to circumvent forex challenges.

     

    Explaining the essence of the training, Director General/Chief Executive Officer of Nigcomsat, Mrs Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, who was represented by the head, marketing and stakeholders’ engagement, Olufunke Fagbeja, said the training was necessary to equip enough technical partners knowledgeable and capable of installing VSAT equipments to extend connectivity to all nooks and cranny of the country.

     

    According to Egerton-Idehen, NIGCOMSAT’s mission has always been to bridge the digital divide and ensure that every corner of Nigeria has access to reliable and efficient communication services.

     

    NIGCOMSAT organized a training program for its channel partners to equip them with the necessary skills to install VSAT equipment and extend connectivity to rural areas.

     

    The company’s mission is to bridge the digital divide and ensure reliable communication services across Nigeria, with a focus on innovation and local content solutions.

     

    NIGCOMSAT believes in strategic partnerships with telcos to deliver value to end-users and is engaging in conversations to ensure they leverage its products and services.

     

    The training is part of the Project 774 LGA Connectivity initiative, aimed at connecting all 774 Local Government Secretariats with internet, creating jobs, and reducing crime

    in local areas.
