Tinubu Returns To Nigeria From Equatorial Guinea

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following a three-day official visit to Equatorial Guinea.

His arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport was marked by a reception from senior government officials, including Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.

This visit, Tinubu’s 22nd international trip since assuming office 15 months ago, focused on a new agreement signed with Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Mbasogo.

The agreement, centered on the Gulf of Guinea Pipeline Project, addresses various aspects of the gas pipeline, including legislative and regulatory frameworks, pipeline operation, and ownership.

During his visit, Tinubu and Mbasogo discussed several key issues, including gas exploration, employment opportunities, food security, and conflict resolution within Africa.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of addressing Africa’s skill drain and called for reforms to combat tribalism and outdated judicial systems.

He stressed the need for Africa to leverage its resources for development, promote peace, and enhance research and development efforts to benefit the continent’s youth and future progress.
