The Paralympic Committee of Nigeria (PCN) has expressed confidence in Team Nigeria’s preparedness to excel at the upcoming 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France, scheduled for August 28 to September 8.
PCN Secretary General Suleiman Isah assured that the 35-member team, comprising 23 athletes, seven coaches, and five medical personnel, is ready to make the nation proud. The team has been in camp in Germany for two weeks, fine-tuning their skills.
The Minister of Sports, John Enoh, has pledged monetary rewards for outstanding performances, offering $15,000 for gold, $10,000 for silver, and $5,000 for bronze medals. This motivation is expected to drive the athletes to excel.
Team Nigeria will participate in four sports: para badminton, para powerlifting, para athletics, and para table tennis. With no injuries or crises in camp, the team is poised for success.
Isah appealed to Nigerians worldwide to support the team with prayers, promising that Team Nigeria will not disappoint the nation.
With thorough preparation, motivation, and national support, Team Nigeria is set to shine at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
