    Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Announces New Management Appointments

    The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has made notable changes to the agency’s management team following the retirement of several members.

    The new appointments, all in acting roles, are aimed at improving the service’s strategic delivery.

    Adeniyi detailed the new appointments as follows: BM Jibo has been named Acting Deputy Comptroller General for finance administration and technical services.

    OA Alajogun is appointed Acting DCG for enforcement, inspection, and investigation; IG Umar will serve as Acting Assistant Comptroller General for headquarters; OA Salefu takes on the role of Acting Assistant Comptroller General for training and doctrine command; BA Makinde is now Acting ACG for human resource development; and Timi Bomodi assumes the role of Acting ACG for enforcement, inspection, and investigation.

    Adeniyi praised the appointees for their exemplary service, emphasizing that these changes are intended to bolster the NCS’s efficiency and effectiveness.

    He also expressed gratitude to the retiring management members for their contributions and encouraged the new leaders to strive towards enhancing the NCS’s mission of revenue generation, anti-smuggling efforts, and trade facilitation.
