    DSS Commends Adeola Ajayi’s Expertise as Tinubu Appoints New DG

     

     

    The Department of State Services (DSS) has expressed its approval of the appointment of Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director General.

    The DSS highlighted Ajayi’s proactive approach and extensive experience, deeming him well-suited to lead the agency.

    On Monday, President Bola Tinubu officially appointed Ajayi as the DSS Director General, an announcement made public by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale.

    In a statement issued by Peter Afunanya, the DSS Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications, the agency described Ajayi as a seasoned and versatile intelligence officer.

    “Ajayi joined the service in 1990 as a cadet officer and has undergone various training programs in management, security leadership, critical thinking, and human resources, both domestically and internationally,” the statement read.

    Ajayi has also held several key positions, including State Director of Security in Rivers, Bayelsa, Bauchi, Enugu, and Kogi states.

    “Ajayi is known for his diligence, resilience, urbanity, proactivity, and analytical skills. He brings a wealth of experience, capability, and goodwill to his new role,” Afunanya added.

    The statement also extended best wishes to the outgoing DG, Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi, and assured Ajayi of the full cooperation, support, and loyalty of the DSS management and staff.
