Legendary Nigerian musician Onyeka Onwenu, fondly known as the “Elegant Stallion,” will be laid to rest today in Lagos.
Onwenu passed away on July 30, 2024, at Reddington Hospital in Ikeja after collapsing at an event honoring Dr. Stella Okoli, the Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
As announced by her family, the funeral service will take place at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi, according to a report by CKN News.
The Service of Songs is scheduled from 10 AM to 12 noon, with the burial slated for 2 PM to 4 PM.
She is survived by her two sons.
