    20 rescued medical students moved to Abuja

    The twenty medical students who were rescued after being kidnapped last week have been transported to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, for further medical evaluation.

    One kidnapper was shot and killed, while two were apprehended, according to information that the nation only learned from one of the security officers participating in the search and rescue operation.

    On Friday night, the Benue Police Command verified the 20 medical students’ rescue.

    The medical students were saved in the Ado Local Government Area of Benue State at the Ajide Forest in the Ukwonyo Council Ward.

    Ajide forest is sandwiched between Ado and  Okpokwu Local Government Areas in Benue South senatorial district.

    The source said: “The security team and surveillance helicopters  were  stationed in  Utonkon, Ado Local Government Area before security personnel  stormed  the kidnappers den.

    ” We killed one and captured two and all the 20 rescued medical students have been moved  to Abuja for proper medical examination.”
