Haruna Dayaya has been appointed as the new Emir of Ningi by the Bauchi State Government.
Governor Bala Mohammed approved the appointment, which was officially announced on Sunday through a press release by Mukhtar Gidado, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor.
Haruna Dayaya, the eldest son of the late Emir Yunusa Danyaya, becomes the 17th Emir of Ningi.
The late Emir passed away on August 24, 2024, after a 46-year reign, at the age of 88.
Haruna Dayaya was previously the Chiroman Ningi.
The state government expressed confidence in the new Emir’s ability to uphold his father’s legacy in promoting unity, peace, and development in the Ningi emirate and Bauchi state.
